I haven’t heard of Robyn Carr prior to this book, but I have to say I’m surprised, because I seem to really be a fan of the whole small town romance. Honestly, I thought this book was one long story and not a collection of short stories, and as I think everyone who reads my reviews knows, I’m not the biggest fan of short stories. But since I didn’t realize going in it was short stories I went in with an open mind. Under the Christmas Tree was without a doubt my favorite, so I am glad it was first up in the book. I loved Annie. And frankly I liked Nate too, but Annie was just awesome for me. She owns her own business, is a good daughter, and takes care of an abandoned litter of puppies, who wouldn’t love Annie. Of course new born puppies need vet car, which is how Annie meets Nate. They spend several weeks getting to know each other and falling for each other. It’s a really sweet story, and I loved getting to know them. It’s a little sugary, and things do happen pretty quick (it is a short story after all), but over all I liked it for the Christmas theme. Midnight Confessions- I was very happy to see that Nate was on page one of this story, mainly because it’s about his niece Sunny.
