I’m not sure why I haven’t read a military romance before, especially considering my husband is in the military and I have more friends and family that I can count that have military experience, it’s definitely a lifestyle I can relate to. I think I was expecting that this would have more of a military theme to it, but the SEAL in the story was basically on leave the whole time, so if you are expecting more of a military theme this may not be the book for you. But even thought it wasn’t exactly what I thought it was going to be, it was still a pretty enjoyable read. Sage is a free spirit to say the least, she travels the world whenever she wants and blogs about the different causes and things she comes across. It’s definitely not the normal lifestyle, but she likes it, even if some of her childhood friends don’t necessarily understand it. I liked that she was pretty confident in how she wanted to live her life. I liked that when she found out her father was sick that she was more than ready to stick around to be there for him, and even that she would go along with the fake engagement to keep a smile on his face.
