This book was super adorable and awesome. I love me some Christmas tales, and I really like books where two people end up stuck together for an extended period of time by themselves, it makes for the perfect recipe for romance. Plus the heroine in this book is kind of an animal crusader, and I love it. So Frankie found out from some animal activist groups about this guy who basically help like a roadside zoo over Christmas to get some extra cash, and he has some elk/moose who he’s been feeding dyed food to make look like reindeer. Once the attraction is over though Frankie’s new “boss” wants them taken to the slaughterhouse. So Frankie intercepts and ends up in a truck she can’t really drive in the middle of a blizzard, trying to get these “reindeer” to the local mustang sanctuary. Only the sanctuary is being watched by Sheriff Red, who is about positive she’s in a stolen truck doing something illegal. The two of them end up at the house he’s watching when the power goes out and all the roads are closed. They could end up there for days. There is no denying that the two of them are attracted to each other, which is really kind of adorable (especially because you get to read it from both points of view).
