So first things first, I hate serials. I know that’s kind of hostile, but I really don’t like reading short books (novella length) and serials are even worse then novellas for me because they tend to just cut off, like the author wrote one book and then cut it into pieces and released it like tv episodes. I like to read a story from beginning to end, so every once in a while a serial looks interesting and I wait for the complete series to come out, like I did with this one. Honestly the title is what appealed to me, because I love when two characters are at each others throats but yet come together anyways, so going into this book I really thought it was going to be two characters fighting a lot, and honestly it really wasn’t. So when you meet Hailey what you find out about her right away is that she is one member of a family who clearly attracts scandal, and another one is going on. Hailey though is not really a fan of the vast majority of her family, and she wants to just live her life simply and without any scandal in it. Only with her family, that’s quite unlikely, so when she leaves work she finds herself face to face with one of the security/PR guys her family has hired. And she’s less then thrilled about it.
