This book has a totally cute premise, two people meet and have one quick moment in time before becoming separated, and then five years later they find their way back to each other. Cash takes Piper on a five day long-haul truck ride with him in an effort to convince Piper that they are meant to be together. It was a cute premise, and the author mentioned a couple of times, it would make a really cute romantic comedy movie. As characters, I liked certain aspects of Piper and Cash, but then really didn’t like some aspects of them. For Piper, I liked that she was spunky and spontaneous, and in general she’s a good person. But Piper had certain parts of her personality that I really did not like, she has a a loose relationship with the truth, which I find highly annoying. I also found it really frustrating that she was constantly jumping out of the truck and making Cash chase after her, it was like she didn’t seem to care that he was working and she was along for the ride. Or that she was putting herself in danger, it was just really annoying. Cash I liked a lot more than I liked Piper, he was a really smart guy who somehow ended up in a career of truck driving.
