Rekindled by Maisey Yates

I read a Maisey Yates book not to long ago, and I really thought she did a great job with subject matter and connecting with the reader, so when the option to read this book came up it was a no brainer. This is a shorter novella book, so if you are thinking about giving Maisey a try, this would be a great book to try her out with. I am kind of a huge fan of second chances, and even though most second chances are about reconnecting with a past love, this is more of second chance for two people who were both very different when they knew each other and did not have the best of relationships. So short plot summery, Lucy left her emotionally abusive husband and moved back to her hometown, only to be turned out by her parents and in dire need of work and a place to live. The guy she used to torment in high school gives her a job, and it doesn’t escape him how the tables are now turned for the two of them. While it would be easy for Mac to take advantage of the fact that his high school bully is now cleaning his floors, he really never does. He’s actually really kind to her.
