Hot and Bothered by Kate Meader

I liked this book way more than I thought I would, I think I thought that with the title being Hot and Bothered that the whole thing would just be about sex and lack and substance, and boy am I glad that I was completely wrong. There was tons of substance to this book, but that’s not to say there wasn’t any sex, there was and it definitely was hot. The first thing I noticed about the book was that there were a lot of characters to get to know and very quickly. I think in the first chapter (maybe two) the author introduced like six different characters, and they were all connected with these family ties that took a little while for me to get everyone straight and how they were all related and such, but once I got it down I grew to love all the characters. I really liked that Jules was a single mother who was determined to do everything she could to be a good mother to her son. At the beginning of the book I was a little bit bummed that she was kind of living off her family, I guess I was hoping for her to be more independent. But this book was really about Jules evolution as a woman, she started off less sure of herself and then grew into her own.
