A while back I was super into mafia romances, and I made this huge list of mafia book series, and then I went and bought the first book in each of the series, this book was apart of that list. I don’t know why but I think Russian Mob actually appeals to me on some level more than all the other kinds of mobs, maybe its the language, it just sounds rough like it goes along with the subject matter. This is one of those books that starts with a dramatic occurrence and ends with one too. So Erin is a pretty nice girl, she has good friends, a job, she’s smart, and she’s a really good sister. Her sister on the other hand has fallen in with the wrong crowd, turned to drugs, and has gotten herself into more trouble then she really knows what to do with. And when her sister goes missing, well it’s not like anyone could be surprised about it. Erin is determined to make sure she finds her sister in one piece and gets her the help she needs. All Erin knows is who her sister has been hanging out with, and with that knowledge she knows she can only go to Ivan for help. Ivan I think is impressed with Erin’s just fearlessness to walk into his gym and ask him for help. I think he finds her innocence and determination appealing, in a way he was not exactly expecting.
