Addicted by Tracy Wolff

I have been looking forward to the continuation of Tracy Wolff’s Ruined for quite some time now, I actually had it marked off on my calendar so I wouldn’t forget to make sure I had it as soon as humanly possible. So first things first, you have to read Ruined first, if you don’t you are seriously depriving yourself of all the build up to Chloe and Ethan’s romance. Honestly without all the emotions you go through in the first book, I don’t think you would connect with the characters or be pulling for them if you just jumped right into the Addicted. So Chloe in the last book is kind of coming into her own, she’s a little bit reserved, doesn’t really think all that highly of herself, but she is a lot stronger than she gives herself credit for. By the end of the first book she’s happy, like truly happy, she has this great thing going with Ethan, she has a fantastic internship that will set her up for the career she wants, and she’s done her best to separate herself from the toxicity of her past/family. But then of course the cliff hanger steps in, turns out Ethan is the brother of the guy violated her in more way than one. Ethan’s family and their money is the whole reason why she has so much trauma in her life. So of course finding out the man you love is deep at the center of the worst […]

First off, I seriously dislike the marketing of the book, it lumps it in with Fifty Shades of Gray, which is unbelievably misleading. I almost didn’t read the book because I’m not really a fan on BDSM/dominance writing (I find its often written poorly). BUT I gave the book a chance because I have faith in Tracy Wolff, something about her writing just is perfect to me. So I decided to give it a chance, fingers crossed that she could write the whole dominance thing well. Turns out the book has absolutely nothing to do with that whole thing, so if you are looking for a book with that theme, this is so not the book you are looking for. But if you want an awesome romance book then this is your book. So I admit, I fan girl over Tracy Wolff’s writing (seriously my husband gets tired of listening to me talk about her book, he now rolls his eyes whenever say the name Tracy cause he knows what is coming). So I will try to objective in this review and not be all full of cotton candy sweetness. So Chloe is a girl with some demons in her past. Some serious ones, and it has really closed her off from relationships with both new people and her own family. There is kind of a mystery to what happened to her, and Tracy gives you bits and pieces as the story goes on, which definitely heightens the interest leading up […]
