So first thing that came to mind when I read the synopsis of this book was that I want to live on a Christmas ranch. I mean seriously, I am a complete Christmas nut, I would love to live in some place where we set up outdoor displays and welcome guests from all over to celebrate the holiday, complete with animals. So the main characters, Rafe and Hope, have some back history together, although Rafe seems to be the only one of them who actually knows about their back history, which definitely makes from some interesting inner dialogue for Rafe. Hope comes home back home after being a nomad for most of her adult life, her sisters are back at home and they have experienced some deaths in their family, Hope’s uncle and brother in law, so Hope heads back home to help out her family. Hope’s family used to run the yearly attraction The Christmas Ranch on their property every year, but not this year, it seems Hope’s family is just not in the mood for it, nor do they have the time or energy needed to get everything together. But Hope is stubborn and completely unwilling to let that happen, even if she has to do it alone. Enter Rafe and his nephew. Rafe’s nephew Joey is messing around one day and breaks he window to Hope’s car, so he agrees to have Joey work off his mistake by helping Hope out at the ranch. I love the […]
