I have such a hard time with novellas, and I wish I didn’t. I don’t know why but I would rather sit and read a slow paced super long novel then a really good novella, I mean there is only so much character development you can do in such a short amount of time (the exception to this of course is novellas that go along with a series). But since I really love Mandy Baxter (aka Amanda Bonilla) I went ahead and gave this one a shot, plus I love a good cowboy. So right of the bat I will tell you what I didn’t like and why I gave this a three star. It literally all comes down to length. I mean the story is so fast paced that certain things come off as unrealistic. And example of this being that it only takes less then a day for these two to open up to each other about things in their past they don’t normally talk about with anyone. It’s just hard for me to believe two people can fall into such a relationship place in like a day, fall into bed together, sure, absolutely, but relationship, not so much. Also I like a bit more angst in a book, but that’s a personal preference. Now for what I did like.
