Meant for Her by Raine Thomas

I’ve made no secret about the fact that baseball is by far my favorite sport, and I love when my romance book starts a hot and sexy baseball star, so I had high hopes for this book. I have to say that I had a hard time with this book in the beginning, but I stuck it out and I am really glad I did, because as the book progressed I really started to like it and the characters. Evan is basically in a self-imposed isolation. He never stops moving and he certainly never lets anyone close to him. After his mother passed away it was like he shut everything down except for his pain over her loss. Sierra sees past that though, which let me tell ya, is more than a good thing for him. I think Evan’s funk, which really comes off abrasively to the people around him, is why I had a hard time with the book in the beginning, he wasn’t exactly likable. And while Sierra is super sweet and has only the best intentions she did have a tendency to come off as too over the top, and I think it bugged me a bit. Sierra really is a good person, she is nice to everyone and gives everyone the benefit of the doubt.
