Friends to Lovers by Christi Barth

So this is the third book in a series, a series I literally know nothing about, but I was looking for a book where two close friends end up together and this one kept coming up in the forums as being awesome, so I decided to jump right into the middle of the series. I’m very glad that I did, because I did seriously enjoy this book, and it could easily be read without having known all the backstory behind some of the other characters in the previous books. I love the whole Gibson being an ex-pat Brit who comes from a wealthy family, but who left it all behind him and made his own way in America, coming to manage an awesome five-star hotel in Chicago. I love Chicago (home to my favorite airport of all time, yes I know I am a weirdo). I thought he was a really interesting guy and that his character really evolves over the course of the book. I mean he is known for being a serial dater in the beginning of the book but when he starts seeing Daphne and his family issues start to come back into the picture, then he really has to hunker down and decide what’s important to him in life, and I really loved that about him.
