Lyric and Lingerie by Tracy Wolff & Katie Graykowski

I’ve been a big fan of Tracy Wolff for quite some time, and every time a book comes by way with her name on it I always make sure to grab it. This is the first book I have read from her that was basically a romantic comedy, I don’t know if that’s because she has a co-author on this one, but either way this book definitely was a bunch of laughs at every turn. So when the book starts we have Lyric trying to catch a flight back home to Texas from Hawaii after finding out that her father had just had a heart attack. Which is basically how she ends up going through the TSA line in anything but travel wear, think corset, mini-dress, and big huge tall shoes. She almost missed her flight, but manages to get on board thanks to a helpful airport employee, only as she leaps onto the plan, her dress basically comes apart and she ends up basically naked. Enter the world’s funniest flight attendant, who promptly makes her a dress out of duct tape. And of course did I mention that the guy she used to be best friends with and in love with is on the flight too. The stuff in the air plane honestly was really funny, and it was nice to get a POV from both characters. Of course it gets even funnier once these two finally make it off the plane. I mean getting Lyric out of the […]

Accelerate by Tracy Wolff

I’ve been a big fan of Tracy Wolff for a while now, the Ethan Frost series was one of my favorites, so every time I see something by Tracy I know I have to pick it up. I must admit that this book brought me back, I used to know my fair share of drag racers in high school, and I am definitely a woman who can appreciate a nice car, so this book was right up my alley. We meet Jordan right away, she’s like a fish out of water. You can tell she isn’t 100% comfortable being a drag race, and I don’t think it had much to with the actual drag racing, more more the lack of control. She doesn’t like new situations, doesn’t trust the people around her, or really anyone. Jordan has a traumatic past, one that isn’t fully explained until the end of the book, but its fair to say that she has good reason not to trust the human race. Early on when she meets Nic, as he is stealing her car mind you, I loved that she fought hard, that she didn’t just cower. She might have been scared for her life, but she was fierce in defending herself. I liked that she opens herself up in this book, that she recognizes that she has to overcome the things that happened to her, and that’s so much easier said than done. So Nic, our car thief, is actually a pretty good guy. […]

Slashed by Tracy Wolff

So I’m slightly obsessed with Tracy Wolff, for me every time I pick up one of her books, I know I am going to have a good time. She just writes characters I love, and more than that she writes a wide range of characters so there’s something for everyone. Anyway this is, I believe, the last book in this series, and I have loved reading the Extreme Risk books, and I have to say I was super excited for Cam’s story. So far up to this point we have gotten to have all of the guys of the group find love, but it was so time for the one girl in the group to find her love as well. So Cam, if you have read the others books, used to have a huge thing for Z, and when the book starts she had already had a one night stand with Luc (her best friend) and the two of them are well not communicating, like at all, which is kind of impressive considering they are always together. Needless to say Cam misses her friend. The thing with Cam is that I liked her a lot, I mean I had for the entire series, and she does her best to show and tell people how she feels about things; I mean she tries to talk to Luc about their problems and she definitely tells her family how she feels about her gone for seventeen years Mom. I loved that she tries, […]

Exposed Release Day Blitz

Title: Exposed Series: Ethan Frost #3 Author: Tracy Wolff Publisher: Loveswept Release Date: May 5, 2015 Synopsis Ethan Frost, the irresistible leading man from the New York Times bestsellers Ruined and Addicted, returns once again in Exposed—a novel that’s perfect for fans of J. Kenner and Sylvia Day. Will Ethan Frost go too far for the woman he loves? The moment Chloe Girard walked into my life, she exposed secrets and emotions I always thought were best kept buried. She wants to move on, to ignore the past. But I can’t do that. Not when she still suffers. And not when the man who hurt her remains unscathed. So when I discover the perfect opportunity to make him pay for what he did to Chloe, I can’t walk away, no matter the consequences. But there’s a fine line between justice and obsession. As I turn up old crimes and new lies, I know that I’m playing with fire—and risking the very foundations of our relationship. My love for Chloe is absolute. I just hope it’s enough to save us both.

Play Me Serial by Tracy Wolff

Play Me Serial by Tracy Wolff

So this is the first time I am reviewing a serial, I’m not really a huge fan of serials, because for me I like to sit down with a full length (super long when possible) book and settle in for several hours. Plus I’m terrible at waiting. But I love Tracy Wolff, so I knew without a doubt I had to review these books. So I’m going to review them all in one big review. Play Me Wild: I’m really glad Tracy Wolff is such a good writer, or I am not sure this first installment would have been long enough to pull me. But Wolff is a great writer and I was easily pulled into the story. So we start out with Aria who is a cocktail waitress in Vegas, and she works the high roller area. She’s definitely hiding something from her past, and it seems as if she is hiding out, like she left her old life behind. Aria is at work one night when one of the high rollers is getting way to aggressive with a woman. The woman seems to look at her with a plea in her eyes, to tell her she is uncomfortable and in pain, so after giving this guy numerous opportunities to back down, she hits him and ends up being fired right on the spot. I loved this about her, that she knew she was probably going to lose her job but stepped in anyways. Strong woman. Sebastian Caine is basically […]

Shredded by Tracy Wolff

It’s no real secret to anyone that I am a crazy big fan of Tracy Wolff, especially her new adult books. I love her writings and the characters she creates. I read the second book in the series long before I got around to reading this one, so I have to admit I had some foreknowledge going into the book, which I think may have made it a little bit less suspenseful for me as a reader, but it was still a really enjoyable book to read. I don’t know if snowboarders are really athletes that I gravitate towards, maybe it’s because I have never really been around snow, or because I haven’t really known any snowboarders in my life, but I tend to gravitate towards baseball players and like boxers, so this was definitely a new thing for me, and I am so not up on the lingo, which actually worked out okay because Ophelia so wasn’t up on the lingo either, so we got to learn together.  I don’t think either of the two characters really stood out above the other, normally for me as a reader, I end up loving one character a little bit more than the others, what can I say, I play favorites. But in this book neither Ophelia or Z stood out above the other. I liked them both, but I don’t know if I fell head over heels with either. I honestly thing that the two of them work as well as they do […]

Addicted by Tracy Wolff

I have been looking forward to the continuation of Tracy Wolff’s Ruined for quite some time now, I actually had it marked off on my calendar so I wouldn’t forget to make sure I had it as soon as humanly possible. So first things first, you have to read Ruined first, if you don’t you are seriously depriving yourself of all the build up to Chloe and Ethan’s romance. Honestly without all the emotions you go through in the first book, I don’t think you would connect with the characters or be pulling for them if you just jumped right into the Addicted. So Chloe in the last book is kind of coming into her own, she’s a little bit reserved, doesn’t really think all that highly of herself, but she is a lot stronger than she gives herself credit for. By the end of the first book she’s happy, like truly happy, she has this great thing going with Ethan, she has a fantastic internship that will set her up for the career she wants, and she’s done her best to separate herself from the toxicity of her past/family. But then of course the cliff hanger steps in, turns out Ethan is the brother of the guy violated her in more way than one. Ethan’s family and their money is the whole reason why she has so much trauma in her life. So of course finding out the man you love is deep at the center of the worst […]

Ruined by Tracy Wolff

Ruined by Tracy Wolff

First off, I seriously dislike the marketing of the book, it lumps it in with Fifty Shades of Gray, which is unbelievably misleading. I almost didn’t read the book because I’m not really a fan on BDSM/dominance writing (I find its often written poorly). BUT I gave the book a chance because I have faith in Tracy Wolff, something about her writing just is perfect to me. So I decided to give it a chance, fingers crossed that she could write the whole dominance thing well. Turns out the book has absolutely nothing to do with that whole thing, so if you are looking for a book with that theme, this is so not the book you are looking for. But if you want an awesome romance book then this is your book. So I admit, I fan girl over Tracy Wolff’s writing (seriously my husband gets tired of listening to me talk about her book, he now rolls his eyes whenever say the name Tracy cause he knows what is coming). So I will try to objective in this review and not be all full of cotton candy sweetness. So Chloe is a girl with some demons in her past. Some serious ones, and it has really closed her off from relationships with both new people and her own family. There is kind of a mystery to what happened to her, and Tracy gives you bits and pieces as the story goes on, which definitely heightens the interest leading up […]

Crash Into Me by Tracy Wolff

Crash Into Me by Tracy Wolff

First things first, I love best friends sister books, I love the whole inherently forbidden romance, where the stakes are high, the people involved could lose or damage their relationships with other people who are important to them by pursuing the romance. It just ups the suspense for me, and I love the theme in romance. So I was super excited about this book, well that and because I really enjoyed Tracy Wolff’s writing style in her other book Shattered, so I had my fingers crossed that her writing would hold up in a new book. I’m happy to say, I really enjoyed this book, and I enjoyed Tracy’s writing style just as much the second time around. I normally find the story about the normal woman meeting and ending up with a famous musician unbelievable, except in this case. So Jamison is the little sister of one of the guys in the band Shaken Dirty, a band that started with a group of guys who were childhood friends, so Jamison has a relationship with everyone in the bad, she’s like family to them already. And as it turns out she has had a major crush on Ryder for years. But she’s all grown up now, and after having the worst week (lost job, cheating boyfriend, total car) she and Ryder end up testing the waters. Turns out their chemistry is electric and they can’t seem to avoid each other. I really liked the two of them together, I thought […]
