I don’t usually review more than one book in one post, but because this is a box set and they are relatively short, I am going to make an exception this time. Love At First Date: I really don’t think the tone for this book worked for me, or rather the narrator’s voice. Ella and I never made a connection throughout the story, I’m not sure why, I think it may have been the length of the story, but I really never felt very connected to her. I know a lot of women who can relate to Ella, who turn to the world of online dating to find the perfect guy because you are tired of picking the wrong one, but I felt like we were only scratching the surface. Personally, I think Ella needed more passion or just a little more spark, not just in her love life (which was painfully g rated) but also in her personality in general. Someone needed to give this short story a jolt of caffeine in order for me to really get invested. Truth or Date: I liked this short story a bit more than the one before in the series. It was more cutesy, I mean there is almost no conflict in this short story, only a sense of obliviousness.
