This book was super cute and adorable. I knew from the synopsis that this book would involve the heroine turning up unexpectedly pregnant, which for me can go either way, but in this book it just worked so well. I love the whole musician angle as well, I used to really adore country music, and this book really brought me back to that. So our heroine is Harper and she is in Nashville visiting her aunt after being left by her fiancee, when one night at a bar she ends up meeting this guy, Liam, who gallantly rescues her from a unwanted dude hitting on her. They hit it off, like really hit it off. I was really impressed out how well the chemistry came right from the beginning. They have no specifics deal, so they just spend time together talking and of course spending time between the sheets. Paige is a big city gal, she was born in Philly and up until recently was happy living there with her roommate best friend and the boyfriend she thought she was in love with. Before she knows it, she lost her job, her roommate moved to another city, and her boyfriend tells her he will never love her. Talk about some rough things to deal with in a short amount of time. Her only option is to move back in with her parents who moved to a small town in Florida to live out their retirement. Enter Paige’s version of hell. Paige is loud, colorful, and has a bit of a temper combined with a smart mouth. To say the people of Mirabelle, FL have a hard time accepting her would be an understatement. There’s the nosy neighbor who thinks she’s a hippy growing pot and having orgies, and then there is the town gossip (who was fired from the newspaper for her tabloid type writing) who now has a blog and has set her sights on Paige. So things aren’t easy for Paige, until of course she meets Brendan and everything starts to turn around. They have instant chemistry, and he helps to get back on her feet in her new home. Paige as a character is pretty likable to me. I like that she has a smart […]
