So I wanted to really like this book, but I have to admit that it reminded me a lot of a couple other books I had read with similar storylines. I will say that I really do love small town romances, and I do like the storyline of someone on the run or who has changed their identity, it always adds an extra layer of interest for me. So Ruby is the person on the run. One day she picked up her life and moved away, she just took the money she had in cash and started driving. When the story starts she’s been working in the kitchen for a little bit but she is still pretty closed off. I think she honestly just doesn’t want to get to attached or maybe she isn’t sure how to after the life she had that she left behind. The thing about Ruby is that she really liked where she is at, and the people she is with, so she just wants to make sure she doesn’t do anything to risk losing that life. She’s a really sweet girl, but she kind of annoyed me with her back and forth. I mean she would kiss Sawyer and then turn around in the next instant and be convinced that it could never happen again.
