Fire Me Up by Rachael Johns

I adore a good MC romance, especially when the characters are well developed. I was intrigued by this book because it seems like the whole premise of the series is that it is about an MC who broke apart in the aftermath of Katrina and then are brought back together after the death of their old leader. I thought this was an interesting take because these aren’t people who are active in the MC lifestyle, so I thought it would make for an interesting dynamic. So first things first, I thought the book started a bit abruptly, I’m not sure if it’s because I had missed the events of the first book in the story, but I felt like things moved super fast right from the start. So Travis is back in town because he inherited a but of buildings (along with the three other guys) and Travis basically wants to sell and get the heck out of New Orleans as soon as possible. I think he felt like the disbanding of the MC was kind of like a family abandoning him. While he is there some of the others kind of rope him into figured out if their old Pres. had been murdered or not. So right off the bat Travis just struck me as a jerk and a bully.
