Sometimes I really like the whole secret baby story line, I mean sometimes I hate, especially when the mom hid the kid for vindictive reasons, but when it’s done well, I tend to like them. Besides the baby/kid almost always results in some interesting conversations and awkward encounters when the situations comes to light, and what can I say I like a little bit of drama. So this book has kind of a lot going on, you have Cass who is a very driven woman who has a one night stand while on a work trip with Logan, the bartender. Well, she thinks he’s a bartender. He’s really an undercover agent whose job it is to basically find leaks of military information. And wouldn’t you know it, Cass works for defense company. Two years and one baby later, Logan shows up at Cass’s work, only this time he’s her temporary administrative assistant and not the bartender. Talk about complicated. So I liked Cass, she ambitious but somehow she’s managed to not let that ambition make her jaded, I think its her youth. She’s also very loving when it comes to her daughter, she grew up in a family where she didn’t feel a lot of affection or love, and she wants to make sure that her daughter never has to feel that way.
