Break in Two by MJ Summers

I love finding a book with a western theme that I actually enjoy. In my head, when I think about the perfect life, I imagine my husband and our six dogs living on a horse ranch in Montana or some other beautiful countryside. Of course the likely hood of this happening is unlikely, so I liked to find books that can transport me there if only for a few hours. This is definitely one of those books. So the book starts with Claire basically starting her life over from scratch, betrayed by her boyfriend she literally leave her life with him and her life her city in the rearview mirror. Looking to start a new life she takes a job on a ranch as a chef, and so her journey begins. As a character, I can definitely understand her motivation for leaving her life behind, and I can also understand why she reacts certain ways to some situations, after her situation with her ex-boyfriend it’s understand that she would have some trust issues. As a character, I really likes her, I rooted for her to get her happy ending, and more over I appreciated that she was both a good person and fallible at the same time. Cole is the owner of the ranch Claire goes to work at, and their attraction is both visceral and instant.
