I’ve read parts of this book more than once, it just kind of stuck in my head and I felt compelled to re-read the good parts of this book. I can honestly say I am not sure what exactly pulls me to this book, I think it’s the underlying friendships that are going on within this book. That and the humor in the book is something that stuck with me, I love books that make me giggle when I’m reading them. Maggie is not looking for a relationship, in fact she is the farthest away from wanting a relationship, but she has a best friend who is at a place where she wants to try to find someone, but she doesn’t want to go at it alone. So the girls make a pact, at least one date a month with someone who fits their rules for a man and that they have to be open to the possibility of more. Maggie doesn’t exactly take this seriously, she goes along with it for her friend, but the date she is most excited about is with a guy who is never available and has tons of other options, she likes this date because she knows nothing will happen from it. I think part of what I like about this pact is that its something that I could easily see to girl best friends agreeing to do, looking for love can be daunting, but having a partner in crime certainly takes the edge […]
