 I don’t think this book was exactly what I was expecting, like I knew from the synopsis that the book had a lot to do with two people who are kind of stepping out of dark periods of their lives and spend some time, let’s call it, “enjoying each others company”. But it ended up being a lot more about these individual people trying to find a way to step out of the walls they have built around themselves and moving past some serious stuff in their past. I really liked Tuesday. She was just so complex and interesting. I loved that she’s such a strong person, but yet really has no idea that she is. I can’t imagine losing my spouse, so it’s completely understandable that she would take some time getting over it, but when this book starts she is well on her way to rebuilding her life and making her professional dreams come true. I liked what a good friend she is, and also what a good daughter she is. She tries to do the right thing when it comes to her in-laws, which let me tell you if I was, I wouldn’t have been so patient with them. Ezra was really intriguing to me, he’s a very famous musician and he is coming back from being a heroin addict. Talk about an intense thing to move on from.
