A Match Made in Texas by Katie Lane

Ah, Texas, my home sweet home, I love a book with a Texas backdrop. And honestly this book sounded like something I would find highly amusing, Brianne getting in trouble with the local cop Dusty. Without a doubt the first interaction between Brianne and Dusty was hilarious, and just what I was looking for. Brianne’s reaction to getting pulled over was just short of insane, and hilarious to read, and after she made he escape, it was just as funny reading about the fall out she left behind for Dusty. So Brianne is staying at the Henhouse, which from what I can tell is a place for retired “women of the night” that has been turned into a bed and breakfast owned by Brianne’s brothers (I haven’t read any of the novels before this, so I am a little behind on backstory). Brianne is hiding out because of some compromising pictures that were taken of her, as well as hiding from a guy who is turning out to be a bit of a stalker. As a character, Brianne is a little crazy, she doesn’t always think things through, she relies a lot of her family name, but at the end of the day she does have a really good heart, so I can easily say I like her (and she add some much needed comic relief at times).
