I have to admit I had some serious mixed feelings about this book, I wanted to like it a whole lot more then I did. I really loved the premise of the book, that our heroine is the product of a rape, and after her mother dies she finds out about it. So what does she do, she seeks out to get revenge on the man who raped her mother. Of course, once she gets there things never go exactly to plan do they? Like I said, I liked the premise of the story. So our heroine is Faith, and I didn’t really bond with her. I don’t know if it was because of the character, or because I felt like early on in the book, when I was first getting to know her the writing kind of dragged for me. I could understand her motivations behind wanted to make sure her biological father paid for his crimes. It seems like growing up with her mother was not exactly the ordinary upbringing most people have, her mother was really damaged by the rape and because of that had strong views about sexuality and how to dress and act, which is understandable given her trauma. And of course this new information gives Faith a whole new insight into her mother.
