I’ve held back on reading a lot of urban fantasy lately, but this was more on the novella side of thing and I had a strong desire to find a good shifter book. I’ve always love shifter books, from the moment I opened Rachel Vincent’s shifter series I was hooked, and I’m always on the hunt for new shifter book. More than that though I love with the two romantic interests have history of contention (remember how much Mercy and Adam used to but heads in Patty Briggs’ Mercy Thompson series, who doesn’t love that). So one read of this synopsis and I was hooked, plus I don’t think I have ever not liked a book from Samhain so I knew this was a pretty good bet for me. My biggest problem with this book was that it was too short or wasn’t a series, I loved the characters and totally didn’t want the book to end. First and foremost I thought the push pull of the relationship between Lilly and Dante. I think what made their relationship even better was that while they were both shifters, he is a werewolf and she is a lynx, so while their is some common ground between them because they are shifters, they don’t necessarily understand the culture behind the their respective groups, which makes things interesting.
