I’ve never been left at the altar before, but I can imagine that it isn’t one of the best experiences to have. So when the book starts and our heroine decides to go on her honeymoon to a remote cabin/mansion in the woods I was already feeling pretty bad for Breanne. And of course once she gets to her destination, things continue to not go according to plan, I mean seriously can’t this girl catch a break. But then again she does meet our hero, Cooper, so maybe the girl did catch a break. Personally I think books that only take place over a very short amount of time and stay in one setting, well let’s just say I think they are hard to get right, especially with romances (because I super hate instant love). But this book is a bit of mystery, so all emotions are kind of heightened, so I enjoyed the book. Breanne at first came off a bit like a diva, I mean she is in prissy clothes, she is a little superior in a way, but it doesn’t take long to figure out that she is really just acting that way because she is hurting after being left at the altar. The thing about Breanne is that she has a history of really just picking the wrong relationships, but even with all of her issues, she always seems to be able to pick herself up.
