I’ve never been a hockey fan. I wish I was. It’s so boring to watch on tv, but in person and in books I do like it. But in books I tend to adore the hockey romance, maybe ice works for me in books because it’s the only time I like cold stuff. Anyways, I was looking forward to this book because it is a hockey book, it is pretty far into the series but you can definitely read it on its own. I really was not a big fan of this book, I wanted to like it I really did, I swear. It just didn’t work for me. I liked the premise of the book, two people who have a long history of hooking up with each other in a kind of mutual friends with benefits kind of status. They both kind of run in the same circles (it seems like Bella’s sisters are married or dating like every hockey player on Cedric’s team) so it is easy for them to maintain this who hook up status thing. And in the beginning they do pretty much heat up the page. Cedric clearly wants more out of their relationship and he keeps broaching the subject with her, but she really doesn’t seem to be sure about settling down.
