Heads up, this book is sad, or maybe sad isn’t the right word, but it for sure pulls on the heart strings pretty hard. So if you are looking for a cheery, upbeat, fun romance, walk away now. This book ain’t named Dear Agony for no reason. I love books with older guys, so I was super stoked when I realized this guy is definitely an older guy, woot woot. So we meet Rose when she is literally on the street just trying to make enough money to eat so she doesn’t have to dig through trash in order to find her next meal. I felt for her right from the beginning, I mean there is poor and then there is homeless and starving, so right from the beginning of the book I wanted Rose to find happy. She is approached by a woman who basically offers her the world, to get her healthy, educated, well cared for, and all she is has to do is be a companion to rich men. I know, I know what you’re thinking, but I promise she isn’t a prostitute. She’s literally just a companion, a friend, who lives in. Generally to the older crowd. Bash is looking for a companion, he’s a hot guy, takes great care of himself, super successful, there is a big age gap between him and Rose, but he wants her for his companion.
