I loved the idea of a found love letter driving a story, that and the fact that this book takes place in one my favorite cities in the world was enough for me to want to read this book. I will say after finishing it, I was a little surprised honestly, it wasn’t what I was expecting. So we meet our heroine, Sage, just around the time she finds the love letter in question. She is really taken by the words on the page as well as the detail in choosing the ink and the paper, the whole package really appeals to her. She gets it in her head that she has to meet the person who wrote this letter, so she sets out to do just that. I have to say, right from the start, I don’t know how I feel about this. I mean it was intriguing to be sure, but I think I may have judged her, I mean she’s intrigued in the author in more than just a platonic way. But the author clearly has feelings for someone, does this mean she’s going to try and step in? Thankfully that’s not what happened, and the letter ultimately opened up a lot of people to her, it took on a journey with many people, new friendship, and definitely new experiences as well.
