Man I was in no way shape or form ready for the way this book started, I mean seriously, it seems like just an ordinary day in the day of a woman who could be just about anyone, and than WHAM, the unthinkable happens. I mean I was in shock. I was also really happy with how well the whole thing was written, it felt authentic, it felt painful, and it was exactly what the subject matter needed it to be. So Presley is our heroine, and man oh man, do I feel for her right from chapter one. The unthinkable happens to her, and basically her whole life blows up. I can’t imagine what it would be like going through your day thinking you have such a great life, great kids, great business, great friends, great husband, and then in an instant it all just blows away. I mean could you imagine? Picking up the disarray of her life means taking her twin boys back to where she grew up, because she had no other options. With debt piling up and basically being homeless, she had no other choice. As if dealing with what had happened wasn’t hard enough, it turns out the reason why she hadn’t returned back home was because she was avoiding a very painful memory for her, in the form of an ex, Zach.
