This was one of the books I picked up after putting a list together of mob romances. This one has a very young girl getting married as a part of an arranged marriage between two big mob families. I don’t know how I feel about arranged marriages, but then again, most authors right it pretty well, so I’m always willing to give it a go. So since this is an arranged marriage, it’s not like the two people involved are in love with each other. And without a doubt its obvious that these two people don’t have any feelings for each other they don’t know each other so how could they even like each other. The book is told from Aria’s POV, and man oh man was I feeling bad for her in the beginning of the book. There are more than one uncomfortable scene once the ball starts to get rolling on the marriage. Also, the groom, Luca, his family has some very kind of creepy traditions about seeing the bedsheets the morning after. I mean the way they all kind of rallied around in the living areas to see the sheets, was just super gross. I mean seriously. I felt so bad for Aria. But Luca managed not to be the monster that Aria was expecting.
