Hendrix by Chelsea Camaron & M.J. Fields

So I went into this book thinking this book was going to be a bit on the darker side of things, I mean it certainly has that kind of look on the cover, and I was totally in the mood for some tortured characters. Plus I kind of liked that the setting around this book was going to be a bar, I’ve always found that you can meet some seriously interesting people while hanging out in a bar. So Hendrix wasn’t nearly as dark as I thought he would be from the synopsis, but I still really enjoyed reading him. He is the product of a bad childhood home life. His father ran the bar, and well lets just say abusive alcoholic might be the nicest way to describe him, and that’s saying something. So after his mother dies, Hendrix is now in charge of the bar having kicked his father to the curb, and is decided he is now in charge of making sure the family is taken care of. I liked that he was so family oriented, and how protective he was of his family, I mean it makes sense given the life they grew up in, but it was great to see how invested he was in taking care of his family. Also I liked how even though he didn’t really have a lot of relationship experience, when he meet Olivia and things started progressing with her, he was really loyal to her. As for Olivia, well […]
