Six years before Neil Elwood became Sophie Scaife’s boss—and Dom—she knew him as Leif, the charming stranger in the Los Angeles International Airport, and the man who would change her life forever…

Fresh from the class of 2007, eighteen-year-old Sophie Scaife is ready to throw her carefully planned future to the wind and chase her dreams all the way to Tokyo. When her flight is canceled and a handsome stranger offers her a night of no-strings-attached pleasure, Sophie finds herself on a much different adventure than she’d expected.

With his commanding sexual presence and deviously filthy mind, Leif is the perfect man to teach Sophie everything that’s been missing with other lovers. But while Sophie can trust him with her body, she’s not sure he’s all that he claims to be…and their night of passion could change everything.

Okay, seriously, why has no one told me about this book before? I mean really, I have been missing out. And frankly, you have too. I am not a person who enjoys novellas, occasionally they work for me when they are like the middle of two books in a series to fill in a gap, or maybe to sometimes set up a series, but even then it’s not like I love them. I’m sorry I just need more, lots of words, give me all the words. But this book, LOVE.

As the blurb sets it up, Sophie is our heroine, and Leif (a.k.a Neil in future books), meet at an airport, their flight is cancelled and Sophie who is basically bailing on college and striking her own path in life, without much regard for planning, gets the courage to go up to the hot older guy and hit on him. Things obviously progress quickly. If you are looking for some kind of love connection here, look somewhere else, I mean for real. This is all about the hot and sweaty and dirty and maybe the occasional shower to clean up afterwards.

I’m not sure why I was able to love these characters the way I did without fully knowing them, because frankly there isn’t a lot of story here, it takes place over like 24 hours and mostly consists of sex, but it just works. I think the thing I like the most about Sophie is that she learns to ask for what she wants, frankly for a girl her age, this is a gift. Figuring out what you want, and then going for it, frankly takes most women a lot of time to work up to. But the reason why Sophie learns how to do this is because of the hot older guy, Leif. He is 100% behind open and honest communication. He’s good with her, he’s kind, patient, still super sexy, and really gives her a good experience. It’s hard not to just love him.

I know this novella leads into a story, and I am for sure reading that (already started), but this was just a good start, no a great start. I can tell by the writing style that when the series really picks up the story is gonna be awesome. If you are looking for some seriously hot heat, you should check this book out asap.
