Lizzie Barber runs a successful flower shop by day and secretly hosts the Naked Baker webcast at night to help pay for her younger sister’s education. To keep friends and family from finding out about her sexy secret, she’s put her social life on hold until her sister’s education is paid off and she can stop filming the webcast.
Blue Ryder fell hard for Lizzie Barber when he met her a year ago, and he hasn’t been able to get her off his mind since. Everything about the feisty little brunette, from her tight bod to her seductive smile, cuts straight to his heart. Though Lizzie has turned down every invitation he’s extended—Blue is not about to give up trying.
Renovating Lizzie’s kitchen brings Blue further into Lizzie’s life, and the oven is not the only thing heating up. One night and one powerful kiss changes everything. But when Lizzie’s secret is revealed and the safe bubble she’s hidden in shatters, true love may not be enough to put the pieces back together.
Gods knows college can be a seriously pricey endeavor, so I thought it was really interesting how Lizzie put herself through college. And now that her little sister needs money for college, Lizzie has turned her college endeavor into the Naked Baker web series, which you can tell right from the beginning that Lizzie isn’t super excited about doing. I really thought this was an interesting way to start a book, and I really wanted to see where were going with Lizzie’s side job, and how she stays out of relationships because of it.
So I really liked the whole romance in this book, and I really liked the hero in the story Blue. First off he has an awesome and unique name, but he is also super hot and a very handy guy to have around in a pinch. But he’s also so much more than that. He really wears his heart on his sleeve, and it’s so cute to see how much he really likes our heroine, Lizzie.I liked how persistent he is in getting the girl he likes so much. But overall, I just thought he was a really nice guy, someone who cares a lot about the people around him, especially his family. He’s just so easy to like.
As for our heroine, well like I said earlier, she an inventive girl, especially when it comes to making sure everything she and her sister need get paid for. I loved how smart she is and that she is a really strong woman in general. She opened her own business after paying for herself to go to college, and now she spends her days running her business and her nights making sure her sister gets the same education that she got. But she also has this great personality too, she has this great kind of sassy side to her that really worked for me.
It was really easy to see how these two people would be interested in each other, they really worked well together as a couple and they had some really good chemistry. You could tell right from the beginning that Lizzie’s side job might cause some real problems for any future coupling she might be in, but you also knew it was going to be a fun ride to be on. This was a really sweet romance for me, and I have to say I did enjoy it.
