Earlier today I reviewed Christine Warner’s book, A Friendly Arrangement (you can read the review here), and now she is joining us for another episode of 10 Questions. Christine chose to answer the questions as Holly, the heroine in A Friendly Arrangement, a super cool chick, so enjoy as you get to learn more about her.
A: “Definitely my cell. Since I’m a virtual assistant I like to make sure I can connect with my clients any time, any place. It also guarantees that I won’t miss a text from Roth when he’s out of town on business.”
Q: What is the number one item on your birthday wish list?
A: “I just had my birthday and it was perfect because I spent it like I do every year celebrating and partying with my twin sister and family. They can drive me crazy at times, but when it comes right down to it, I love them and can’t imagine that we wouldn’t be together on any special day.”
Q: What’s your biggest pet peeve?
A: Holly lets out a throaty laugh and rolls her eyes. “That is not an easy question to answer at all. It can depend on the time, day, and place.” She taps her chin with her finger as she studies the ceiling for a second. “I guess the main peeve would be how my family is always trying to run my life, but at the same time it’s also a comfort. I want to do things on my own terms, but it’s nice to know that my family wants what’s best for me—at least what they think is best for me. Sometimes they’re right, and sometimes they miss the mark.”
Q: What’s your favorite book?
A: “Do comic books count? I love my super hero comics and enjoy collecting them as much as reading them. I have a special fascination with Wonder Woman and Superman.”
Q: What’s your go to song to get your amped up?
A: “Whereas Roth is a classical music lover, I’m a total eighties girl thanks to my parents. Jump by VanHalen is always a favorite and several of the songs by Michael Jackson get me amped up and ready to dance, or get my butt out of bed when I’m struggling to start the day.”
Q: You walk into a pet store, what animal would you bring home and why?
A: “I avoid the pet store at all costs because I’m a softy. Unfortunately, at this point in my life I’m too busy to have much time to devote to a pet. If I ended up going inside the pet store, I’d end up pissing my sister Hailey off because I’d walk out with a cute, little, fuzzy kitten for my two nieces.”
Q: If you could vacation anywhere, where would you go and why?
A: “Chicago has a special place in my heart. Plus, the city is pure amazing. There is always something to do, something going on. Love the hustle and vibe.”
Q: What would you pick for your last meal?
A: She throws back her head and laughs. “Pizza. No doubt. My favorite pizza place is on speed dial and they know my voice whenever I call.”
Q: If you were a contestant on the show Survivor, what would your luxury item be?
A: “Because I’m not a wilderness girl at all, and prefer all life’s luxuries in every form, if a plane ticket home isn’t an option I’d want my Keurig with an assortment of flavored coffees, please.”
Q: What are your best and worst qualities?
A: “My best quality is that even though there are times I may doubt myself or am uncertain, I’m strong enough to get through anything that’s thrown in my path. My worst quality would have to be my stubbornness. I’m working on that.”
