As far as Nina Beaumont is concerned, money ruins everything. Leave it to her wealthy family to screw up her professional life and her personal life. When she crashes and her car sinks, sending her identification and all her belongings spiraling into the watery abyss, Nina sees her chance to escape.

And stumbles into a job with the hottest man she’s ever met…as his maid.

Between running an inn, caring for his grandmother, and trying to keep the dirty-dealing Beaumont Corporation from stealing his land, Joe Farina's plate is full. He doesn't have time for romantic entanglements—especially not with the suspiciously bad maid he just hired, no matter how much he needs her…both in and out of his bed.

Screwing with her life is one thing, but Nina’s not about to let her family screw with Joe. That is, if she doesn’t lose him when he finds out who she really is.

Starting your life over as someone else, I have to say that is what appealed to me about this book. I mean I think everyone at one time or another has thought about what their lives would be like if they were someone else or doing something else. Although not everyone drives their car into a lake and then takes that as a sign to just be someone else. Needless to say I was intrigued.

So Nina is the daughter of a very shrewd businessman, who is super rich, and she is basically humored throughout her life, and her recent promotion at work wasn’t one she earned. Nina wants to be her own person. She wants people to like her for who she is and not the amount of money that she has in her bank account. I can understand that. This book could have gone either way for me. Nina shows up at the inn and goes to work as a maid, and lets face it, she was either going to be a hard worker or she was going to fold under doing actual labor (after all she is a rich girl). Thankfully Nina worked her butt off. I loved how sincere she was in her desire to do well, I mean she worked so hard. And more than that she was nice to everyone, she worked hard to get the respect of everyone there, and she advocated for her new friends when she could. I couldn’t help but love her.

Joe is totally just a nice guy, with way too much on his shoulders. I liked him from the beginning. He took Nina in, helped her out when he really didn’t have to, he went above and beyond. I loved how good he is to his friends, his community, and also to his grandmother. I felt like he has so much responsibility on his shoulders, and his dream of turning the run down mansion into a high end B&B was only going to add more. Of course, he’s battling with Nina’s father to keep his run down mansion, which only means when he finds out who Nina is, things are gonna implode (and I couldn’t wait to see how it unfolded).

I liked Nina and Joe, they had fantastic chemistry and they totally couldn’t keep their hands off of each other, even if it meant they pretty much never got a good nights sleep. I think part of what I liked about these two is that both of them really figured out what they wanted out of their lives during the course of this book, I like when characters really find themselves. I loved the element of being someone else to find out who you really are. I enjoyed this book, the pacing was good, and it was a fun read for me.
