Will Ethan Frost go too far for the woman he loves?

The moment Chloe Girard walked into my life, she exposed secrets and emotions I always thought were best kept buried.

She wants to move on, to ignore the past. But I can’t do that. Not when she still suffers. And not when the man who hurt her remains unscathed. So when I discover the perfect opportunity to make him pay for what he did to Chloe, I can’t walk away, no matter the consequences.

But there’s a fine line between justice and obsession. As I turn up old crimes and new lies, I know that I’m playing with fire—and risking the very foundations of our relationship.

My love for Chloe is absolute. I just hope it’s enough to save us both.

I think it’s pretty well known how I feel about Tracy Wolff, I mean I am seriously in love with her books and the characters she creates (I also feel like I am perpetually waiting for her new book to come out). I also really enjoy the Ethan Frost series, I can still remember reading the first one in the series and completely falling in love with it. Beware, reading this review may spoil things in the previous two books, so go read those before reading this.

So everything comes to a head in this book. Chloe and Ethan have been through a lot in the last three books, and watching them go through it all has been one enjoyable ride. So in this book we have Ethan and Chloe really cementing their relationship, getting married! Woot! There are some seriously sweet moments between these two, they make some of the sweetest declarations of love. Also since you get both Chloe and Ethan’s POV you get to see how the two of them really feel about each other.

This book is much more about the revenge aspect of their relationship. Ethan’s brother Brandon raped Chloe when she was still in high school and then paid off her family to make it all go away. This is the one thing that Ethan just can’t let go. His brother hurt the woman he loves, and used Ethan’s money to clean the mess up. Ethan wants revenge, he wants to take his brother down, he wants to see Brandon go to jail for what he did to Chloe and the women who came after her. So Ethan goes digging and finds a lot of dirt out about the his baby brother who is also running for the House of Representative.

There is a lot of watching Chloe and Ethan go back and forth about this issue, it’s the one thing in their marriage that is an issue. Chloe wants Ethan to let it go, Ethan just can’t seem to do it. And everyone knows, when you play with fire you are gonna get burned. The book really starts to pick up in the second half, there is a lot of maneuvering and trying to figure out who is going to come out on top in this situation.

As always the chemistry with Ethan and Chloe was spot on, there were tons of steamy scenes between the two of them. I actually liked how the two of them have grown in their relationship, both are willing to do the work more than before, which is great to see. Tori provides some levity to some of the situations, and that girl is always good for a laugh. I liked seeing Sebastian in this book, especially after reading the Play Me serial that came out not to long ago. All in all this was a good book three, and I am looking forward to reading whatever Tracy Wolff puts out next. If you haven’t picked up this series you should.

About Tracy Wolff

Tracy Wolff collects books, English degrees and lipsticks and has been known to forget where—and sometimes who—she is when immersed in a great novel. At six she wrote her first short story—something with a rainbow and a prince—and at seven she forayed into the wonderful world of girls lit with her first Judy Blume novel. By ten she’d read everything in the young adult and classics sections of her local bookstore, so in desperation her mom started her on romance novels. And from the first page of the first book, Tracy knew she’d found her life-long love. Now an English professor at her local community college, she writes romances that run the gamut from contemporary to paranormal to erotic suspense.
