I call him “Tool” because he’s a dick.
Gaige O’Neal is nicknamed “Tool” because of what he’s packing. Rumor is, he’s well equipped.
I wouldn’t know. I’ve never had the pleasure.
He’s a cocky, entitled, insufferable a**hole who’s as reckless with women as he is with that stupid motorcycle he races.
He’s also my stepbrother. Lucky me.
It’s been four years since I’ve seen him. Four years since he’s made me so frustrated I could scream. Four years since he’s given me that look, the one that makes me instantly wet.
So it’s just f**ing fitting that the first time I see him in four years, he’s buried beneath three scantily clad blondes.
Now I’m stuck here under the same roof with him while he recovers from a racing injury. An injury that clearly hasn’t affected the use of his tool.
The problem is, as much as I despise him, I just can’t help myself. I want to find out what kind of tool he's working with.
I know some people aren’t really fans of the whole stepbrother romance trope, and honestly I can somewhat understand that. That being said there are some seriously well written stepbrother romances out there (although it feels like the market is being flooded with them and some of them are just so bad), I really think this one is well written and was totally enjoyable for me to read.
So Delaney has been gone from her home for four years, and its been just as long since she has had to be near Gage for an extended period of time. It’s clear from moment one of the book that Delaney didn’t just go to college, she was also running away from whatever was between her and Gage back then. I adored Delaney, she is soon sassy, and I love it. I loved how career oriented she is, but at the same time I felt like she balanced her life pretty well.
Gage is well, honestly their is no other way to describe him other than as soo unbelievable cocky, I mean seriously. He has that whole bad boy image thing, plus he is a bit of a playboy, but the things he says sometimes, they either crack me up or make me think that hot and steamy is just around the corner.
I loved the chemistry between Gage and Delaney, they had kind of a great back and forth banter between them that was great, it made reading the book go by so fast and made it so much fun. I think part of what worked so well with these two is that the whole family is involved in the same business together. I think the whole being in a public business together kind of raises the stakes of everything and heightened the drama of it all. Also Delaney and Gage are keeping things on the down low, I mean lets face it not everyone is going to be on board with step-siblings having a relationship, so they definitely tried to keep things quite, which also made for some great drama.
I really enjoyed this book, I liked all the back and forth banter, and if you are looking for a hot and steamy romance then I think you should give this book a chance, even if you aren’t a big fan of the stepbrother romance.
