For twenty-one-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn't anything new. They'd been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the 'man' in man-whore. He's never stayed with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn't want to risk their friendship by declaring her love.

Kyler has always put Syd on a pedestal that was too high for him to reach. To him, she's perfect and she's everything. But the feelings he has for her, he's always hidden away or focused on any other female. After all, Kyler will always be the poor boy from the wrong side of tracks, and Syd will always be the one girl he can never have.

But when they're stranded together at a posh ski resort due to a massive Nor'easter, there's nothing stopping their red-hot feelings for each other from coming to the surface. Can their friendship survive the attraction? Better yet, can they survive at all? Because as the snow falls, someone is stalking them, and this ski trip may be a life-changer in more ways than one.

I love a good friends to lovers romance, especially one with some serious suspenseful action throughout. Plus who doesn’t love a story where the two people are stuck in one place, hello blizzard.

So Sydney and Kyler have known each other for years, they have been best friends since they were little kids. The thing is they have both started to develop feelings for each other over the last couple of years. Although Kyler does have quite the tendency for one night stands, so it easy to see how Sydney wouldn’t think that he wants her.

Of course life happens and when Kyler and Sydney head up to a ski resort (where they are suppose to be meeting friends) they end up their alone and snowed in, with no one coming to join them. It’s like the perfect recipe for these two people to finally figure out how they feel about each other.

So I liked Sydney, she’s a nice girl. But at the same time she had the tendency to jump to conclusions which led to more problems then she actually should have had with Kyler. Kyle is a surprisingly stand up guy. I mean at first I thought he was going to be a player type, but throughout the vast majority of the book he was really a stand up guy. He cares about Sydney deeply and he is always trying to do right by her.

There is of course more going on then meets the eye in this story. There is an underlying mystery going on. It seems like there is someone targeting these budding lovers, and each time something weird happens it starts to escalate, to start getting really dangerous. The suspense is really good, and when everything comes to a head I remember sitting on the edge of my seat hoping that everything was going to work out.

I really did enjoy reading this book, like I said, I love friends to lovers stories, and I loved how the added mystery element heightened the drama. If you like friends to lovers, then this is a book you should check out, especially if you like mystery and suspense thrown in.

All the rumors you heard about her state aren’t true.

Well, mostly. When she’s not hard at work writing, she spends her time, reading, working out, watching zombie movies, and pretending to write.
