This winter, ex-skiing champion, reformed heartbreaker and single dad Tyler O'Neil has only one mission—making sure his daughter, Jess, has the best Christmas ever. The fact that his best friend, Brenna, is also temporarily moving into his chalet at the overbooked Snow Crystal resort is a delicious distraction he's simply going to have to ignore. Theirs is the one relationship he's never ruined, and he's not about to start now.

Ski pro Brenna Daniels knows all about the perils of unrequited love—she's been in love with Tyler for years. But living with him is absolute torture… How can she concentrate on being his friend when he's sleeping in the room next door? Then when Tyler kisses Brenna, suddenly the relationship she's always dreamed of feels so close she could almost touch it. Could this be the Christmas her dreams of a happy-ever-after finally come true?

I have to admit I am a big fan of Christmas stories (as if you couldn’t already tell) and more than that I love the whole friends to lovers trope. I know that it’s done all the time, but for me there is nothing better than falling in love with the person who knows you the best and has always been there for you. So combine the those two things and then add in some athletic yumminess and I am a pretty happy camper.

So Tyler has a lot going on in his world at the moment, he used to be a skiing champion, until and injury changed everything, and he went from being a world traveler at the top of his game, to going home and helping to run the family business (a nice winter hotel/ski resort). Oh and did I mention his daughter has come to live with him full time now.

What I love about this book is that its clear that Brenna and Tyler both have feelings for each other, but for there own reasons haven’t gone through with making it anything more than that. And there is definitely some meddling going on from Tyler’s family to see if these two are finally going to work something out between the two of them.

So for me Tyler is very easy to like as a character. He is a good man, and he’s doing everything he can to be a good father, and he’s a good friend to Brenna. But all that said, he is a tad bit too in his head, which is understandable given how much his life has changed in a small amount of time. After he loses his career he really stops believing that he is worth a whole lot, which is ultimately why he never goes for Brenna even though its clear that he has feelings for her.

Brennan is so sweet and kind, and is really a great friend to everyone. But at the same time she is the most unassertive person on the planet. It’s really easy for her to end up being taken advantage of because she is just too nice of a person to really say no. Since she is so non-assertive she ends up not doing anything to get the guy she has been in love with for so long.

The two of them living under the same roof as his daughter is actually quite amusing. There are some funny situations, some sexy ones, and a couple of oh my god I can’t believe that just happened moments. It’s a really good read, and I did love reading how these two friends finally end up together. If this trope is your thing, I would definitely add it to your list of books to read.
