James and Bianca’s story draws to a close in the explosive conclusion to the Up In The Air Trilogy.

After a short but earnest courtship, Bianca can no longer deny her feelings for James, and though she’s tried her hardest, she can’t help but see that he cares deeply for her, as well. In a completely uncharacteristic move, she has put aside her misgivings and agreed to live with the enigmatic billionaire. Is her leap of faith the beginning of something wonderful, or is it too much, too fast?

As James and Bianca feel a growing need for each other that neither can deny, circumstances beyond their control intervene, trying to tear them apart. Amidst the ever mounting threat of a monster who wants Bianca dead, and the constant pitfalls of an indiscreet past that James can’t seem to escape, can these two passionate lovers manage to find their happily ever after?

I have to say I really like this series, and more than that I loved the way this one ended. So many times, I have gotten to the end of a series and I’ve liked the ending or thought it was just okay, but this time, this time I loved the ending. This is no time jump from the previous book to this one, so you really need to read the first two books before walking into this one.

So I want to start with talking about how much I love these two characters together. They both have some unique histories, but the two of them together seem to be able to give each other what the other one needs in a way that totally works for them. I know some readers have issues with some elements of BDSM, but I think in the context of these characters I feel like it totally works for them. More than that though there is a great romance going on between them. There chemistry may be off the charts, but they really do love each other. I loved that they weren’t perfect, that they have fights and miscommunications just like everyone else, but they actually are really learning how to deal with those in a way they maybe hadn’t been able to in the previous two books, and it gave them a really authentic feeling.

You just can’t read this book without at least mentioning Stephan, he’s seriously one of the best characters/parts of this book. His personality is just so awesome, and he always knows how to give the reader and the other characters just what they need at just the right time. I loved reading his own love story, and how James and Bianca fit in and helped out with. Bianca and Stephan’s relationship is just so strong, and where as James has accepted it, it’s not necessarily so easy for others.

There is a big chunk of this book where I was seriously invested and trying to read it faster because I felt like I was sitting on the edge of my chair waiting to see what was going to come next. There was even a moment where I really wondered if these people would ever get a happy ending, or if they would even all make it to the end of the book, and I have to say it was so fantastic and well written, I loved the added thriller/suspense elements in this.

Overall, I have to say this is a great conclusion to a series I really did enjoy from start to finish. I would easily recommend this series, and I look forward to reading more of R.K. Lilley’s writing in the future.

About R.K. Lilley

R.K. Lilley has been a writer since she can remember, but has held down some interesting jobs to pay the bills. For several years she was a first class flight attendant, and she always swore that she just had to write a book about it. Mixing her love of romance and all things BDSM, the Up In the Air Trilogy is her debut into the world of contemporary romance and erotica.
